The first edition of the Leading Women Series took place in celebration of International Women’s Day in 2018. The event is a platform for leading women to gather and share unique insights relevant to their experience, including their views and ideas on issues affecting women empowerment and gender equality.
This edition was graced by Anne Eriksson, former Regional Senior Partner, East Africa, at PwC who was also a member of PwC’s Africa leadership team. Anne shared her personal trajectory, including successes, failures, lessons learned, navigating family life, importance of mentorship and other valuable advice for leading women.
Anne Eriksson is the former Regional Senior Partner who was charged with overall responsibility for PwC’s operations in the wider East Africa region, covering Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia and Mauritius. She also served as a member of the PwC Africa leadership team, and was with the firm for 40 years, 30 of which were as partner.
Anne has extensive business experience in Kenya and the Africa region, having provided services to support transactions such as acquisitions, privatisations and private sale of companies, as well as audit and advisory services to large banking, insurance, manufacturing, telecommunication, agricultural, energy and distribution companies in addition to organisations in the public sector.
