ZAMBIA will earn USD 1 billion annually following the actualisation of bilateral trade agreements with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Angola.
Minister of National Development Planning Alexander Chiteme said the signing of the two trade agreements has deepened economic and political cooperation between Zambia and the two countries.
Mr Chiteme said Angola and DRC are strategic markets for Zambian products.
“The Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola represent strategic markets for Zambian manufactured goods with exports estimated to be more than US$1 billion per annum,” Mr Chiteme said.
